Rejlers as the energy auditor of Savonlinna

Rejlers Oy conducted energy audits on the buildings and business premises of the business property services of the town of Savonlinna in approximately 80 locations in total. The goal of the energy audits was to improve the energy efficiency of the audited sites. The audits weregradually carried out over a period of three years, with the last target sites being assessed during the spring of 2014.

The audits were implemented in accordance with the MOTIVA model and considerable savings potentials were discovered at some sitesthat either required no investments or had a very short payback period. Energy certificates that comply with the new legislation were also drawn up for some target sites. The achieved results will help the town of Savonlinna to meet its energy efficiency targets.

The Savonlinna municipal enterprise group signed the Municipal Energy Efficiency Agreement (KETS) with the Ministry of Employment and the Economy (MEE), in December 2007. The aim of the measures of the KETS agreement measures is to achieve annual energy savings of 9 percent, or a total of 5,800 MWh, within the contract period. Energy savings of 3 percent by 2010 were accepted as an interim target. The second interim target was to reach energy savings of 6 percent by 2013.
