Itula centralises its operations in South Karelia

From the beginning of September, Itula Oy’s operations will be centralised in the South Karelia region, in Puntala, Ruokolahti. Itula’s production facilities in Ruokolahti have already been operational for two years already, and now more of the company’s functions have been brought under one roof, with the relocation of storage, administration and sales functions. From the beginning of September, nearly 20 people will be working in Puntala. Puntala will be the home base for Itula’s sales staff, from where they will serve the company’s customers, all over Finland. Customers in the Helsinki capital region will also be served by the sales staff at the Vantaa office.

According to entrepreneur Jukka Itkonen, Itula will offer its customers even better and more holistic services, in the future. Centralising operations in one location has many advantages that will bring valuable benefits to the company’s customers. Logistically, Puntala is in a great location, at the end of good connections and close to Highway 6. Putting production, storage and sales functions under one roof reduced logistics costs all the way from manufacturing to the construction site without having to compromise on delivery speed.

The centralisation of functions is part of Itula’s strategic restructuring through which the company will be able to provide its customers with more comprehensive solutions. In addition to HVAC products and components, we offer expert services in design, installation and deployment, according to the customer’s wishes.

The renovation of Puntala’s office premises is now complete, and the new facilities have been designed so as to have all the functions run smoothly under one roof. Of course, Itula’s own heating and cooling systems have been installed in the new office premises. Itula has had excellent digital communication channels in use for quite some time already but, enabling daily face-to-face contact among staff, naturally makes working together even smoother, says Itula’s Director of Administration Maarit Hyötylä.
