The heating of an industrial hall in Lappeenranta became more energy efficient and effortless with geothermal heat. Going forward, the entrepreneur’s time is freed up to do productive work instead of heating the hall.
In late 2018, Proheat was able to implement a heating system renovation of an industrial hall in Lappeenranta, which involved switching the old woodchip/oil heating to modern geothermal heat.
Up to now, the owner of the hall had taken care of the heating, which is cumbersome and time-consuming. One of the goals of updating the type of heating system was to free up the owner’s own work resources, but also to gain other benefits of geothermal heat: savings in heating costs, friendliness to the environment, even thermal conditions and reliability of operation.
Due to financing, the heating system renovation was carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the following geothermal package was completed on site:
Because the hall has plenty of room, the old heating equipment was left in place, avoiding dismantling costs. The hall had a separate space available for the new geothermal system, i.e. the pump and its required pipes, so it was not worth spending time and money on dismantling the old equipment.
All on-site installation and drilling work was carried out so as to minimise disruption to the hall’s users. The company’s own operations in the hall were not interrupted at any time.
If you are interested in seeing on site how the new heating solution has been implemented, please call us. We will schedule an on-site presentation to introduce the geothermal system in greater detail.
