FIBER-X FINLAND HELPS COMPANIES AND STARTUPS AROUND THE WORLD SCALE IDEAS FOR COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION, IMPROVE PRODUCTION PROCESSES AND TRAIN EXPERTS. WE ARE PART OF THE NORDIC PILOT CENTER, A UNIQUE FRAMEWORK FOR PILOTING, TECHNICAL OPTIMISATION AND TRAINING FOR INDUSTRY AND RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS.

Our three main services:

✅ Industrial piloting – We enable safe testing of new processes, recipes, devices and materials before commercial deployment.
✅ Engineering & optimisation – We help our customers improve the quality of their production, solve process challenges, and reduce energy consumption and water use. We help companies design and launch new facilities around the world that produce new raw materials or products to improve sustainability or environmental friendliness.
✅ Technical training – We offer unique training solutions that combine theoretical knowledge and practical training in our pilot facility.

Experienced team to support development work

Our success is based on in-depth industrial know-how and a strong network of experts. Our team includes experts who have decades of experience in the paper and pulp industry, from factory-level production to process development and plant projects. Several experts who have worked at companies such as Valmet and other large operators are involved, and they have global experience in factory design, production optimisation and product development.

In addition, we utilise a network of more than 50 experts who have in-depth competence in areas such as fine-tuning processes, developing new materials and optimising equipment. This combination of practical experience and the latest technological know-how enables us to support our customers at all stages of development – from idea to production.

Towards a sustainable industry

Our focus is on renewable raw materials and resource efficiency. We help our customers maximise the utilisation of raw wood material, refine industrial side streams and develop new materials from alternative fibres such as straw, hemp and other agricultural waste streams.

We are involved in creating solutions that support the reduction of plastic, improvement of carbon-neutral production and a sustainable bioeconomy. Together with our customers, we develop new concepts and offer our expertise so that innovations can be implemented cost-effectively and scaled towards commercial production.
