JunkMadLove is a recycling shop located in the Lappeenranta Fortress, at Katariina Square in Kristiina’s Workshop. The space is rented from the City of Lappeenranta. The shop is set in a historic 1890s military barracks, providing a beautiful setting for selling vintage and second-hand goods.
The selection includes fun interior details and small decorative pieces that fit even the tiniest homes, as well as larger items like cabinets, chairs, tables, and other furniture. Some products are meant for everyday use, while others may be rare finds or nostalgic pieces from childhood. JunkMadLove does not sell any brand-new items.
Unlike many other recycling shops, JunkMadLove is a privately owned business. In addition to buying and selling second-hand goods, the shop also upcycles old items to suit modern needs.
Even broken objects shouldn’t be thrown away, as they can be creatively transformed into something new. The entrepreneur’s creativity and keen eye for design result in unique, repurposed products—either functional household items or beautiful decorative pieces. The recycling rate of upcycled products is high, with some items achieving a 100% reuse rate.
Today, recycling is more important than ever. JunkMadLove is committed to packaging its products using entirely recycled materials. To support this goal, the shop plans to collaborate with other businesses to source sustainable packaging materials.
The shop is also expanding its selection of products with the highest possible recycling rate. By making the world of upcycling more accessible, JunkMadLove hopes to inspire people to repurpose items themselves—showing that even with minimal effort, old objects can be given a new, functional life.
